Eric Reyes

Eric Reyes is an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He leads ensembles such as the Chapel Choir and College Chorus, and founded the treble voice ensemble SPERA. Reyes pioneered ¡Canto! A Latinx Vocal Intensive, funded by the Mellon Foundation, to support high school Latinx vocalists.

His research focuses on choral conducting, Latinx vocal music pedagogy, and community-driven musical initiatives. Reyes has collaborated with Latin Americans United for Progress (LAUP), Dr. Sarah VandenBrink, and Professor Christina Krause on educational programs.

Reyes actively mentors students and has participated in professional masterclasses, including with Ann Howard Jones and Jerry McCoy at the American Choral Directors Association National Conference in 2017.
