Eric Lackey

Eric Lackey is a Lecturer in the Department of English at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech), where he teaches Composition, Introduction to Literature, and Film courses. He also continues to teach Screenwriting at other institutions, bringing over several years of experience in Film and Creative Writing instruction.

His research focuses on film studies, particularly independent and art cinemas, and U.S. films addressing immigration. He has contributed to academic discourse through publications in journals such as Pilgrimage, Rio Grande Review, and The Moving Image.

Eric integrates his passion for the arts into both teaching and scholarship, with interests spanning music, cinema, literature, and Southwest cultural exploration.
