Emile R. "Mike" Boutin Jr., EdD, ACC, serves as Assistant Dean for Faculty and Student Success at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. He also holds appointments as Term Lecturer in Health Professions Education and Adjunct Instructor, supporting doctoral students in research and teaching Counseling Skills in the CSD Department.

Research and Practice: Mike focuses on student success, stress management, soft skills development, and mental health support. He integrates executive coaching (ICF-certified ACC-level) and Mental Health First Aid instruction into his work with faculty and students.
Service and Leadership: He advises the IHP LGBTQIA+ group (KinsIHP), IHP Musicians group, and contributes to the MVCE Council, Wellness Council, and IHP Community Pantry initiative addressing food insecurity.
Prior Experience: Before joining MGH Institute, Mike worked over 20 years as a clergyperson and adjunct professor teaching comparative religions and end-of-life issues.
