Cynthia Mosher serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Professions Education at MGH Institute of Health Professions and as Assistant Director in the Department of Clinical Skills at Alfaisal University College of Medicine, where she delivers simulation-based education for medical and pharmacy students.
Dr. Mosher's research focuses on engagement in distance simulation and distance debriefing, with her work contributing to the development of international standards and best practice guidelines in this emerging field. Her interest in this area was significantly shaped by the challenges educators and students faced during the coronavirus pandemic when transitioning simulation and debriefing to online settings. As a primary care physician with expertise in health professions education, she brings practical clinical experience to her academic work.
Dr. Mosher has made significant contributions to international medical education through her work developing the MGH IHP Masters in Health Professions Education Simulation Track hybrid program at Alfaisal University, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Her experience working in the Middle East has provided her with valuable cultural diversity experience that enhances her teaching and research approaches.

- MSHS from University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, Alabama
- PhD from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions
Notably, Dr. Mosher was one of the first graduates of the MGH IHP Health Professions Education PhD program, bringing both firsthand experience with the program and expertise in simulation education to her faculty role.
