Kimberly Erler, OT, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP), where she also serves as Director of the Tedy’s Team Center of Excellence in Stroke Recovery. She holds a BS in Therapeutic Studies and MS in Occupational Therapy from Boston University, and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from MGH IHP. Her clinical practice focuses on acute care neurorehabilitation at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Research Interests: Her work centers on neurorehabilitation outcomes after traumatic brain injury and stroke, ethical decision-making in clinical practice, and patient-reported participation measures. Recent initiatives include developing stroke awareness programs and fostering interdisciplinary research through the Tedy’s Team Center’s fellowship program.

Advising & Grants: Leads the Tedy’s Team Stroke Fellowship Program supporting early-career researchers. Active in interprofessional clinical education through the Sanders IMPACT Practice Center.
Labs/Teams: Directs the Tedy’s Team Center, coordinating research, education, and community outreach initiatives focused on stroke recovery and prevention. Collaborates with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s Neurorehabilitation Laboratory.
