Ekaterina Botchkovar

Ekaterina Botchkovar is a Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Northeastern University. She serves as the Undergraduate Program Director and contributes to the Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program.

Education:

• PhD in Sociology (2005), North Carolina State University

Her research focuses on global criminology, cross-cultural comparisons, and the interplay of cultural context in criminal behavior. Current projects examine the long-term effects of the Ukraine war on attitudes, mental health, and illegal behaviors. Publications appear in top journals like Journal of Quantitative Criminology and British Journal of Criminology.
