Prof Dorothee Bakker is a Professor in Marine Biogeochemistry at the University of East Anglia (UEA), affiliated with the School of Environmental Sciences, Centre for Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, and ClimateUEA. Her career spans over three decades, including roles as Associate Professor (2018–2024), Senior Lecturer (2016–2018), and Research Officer (2006–2016). She holds a PhD from the University of Groningen and an MSc in Soil Science from Wageningen University.
- Research Focus: Air-sea CO2 exchange, marine carbon cycle, ocean acidification, and polar science.
