Don Shin is a Professor in the Department of Professional Communication at Texas Tech University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from Syracuse University, and an M.A. from Southern Illinois University. As an ICA Fellow and globally recognized scholar, his work focuses on AI-human interaction, social media analytics, and misinformation. He previously served as Founding Chair of the Department of Interaction Science at Sungkyunkwan University and led the Interaction Science Research Center as Director, overseeing major research initiatives like BK21 Plus and WCU programs funded by Korea’s Ministry of Education.
