Don Lucas

Don Lucas serves as Associate Professor of Trombone and Chair of the Woodwinds, Brass & Percussion Department at Boston University's Adams School of Music and the Arts, with an adjunct appointment at Gordon College. An internationally active performer, he has collaborated with ensembles including the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, and Empire Brass Quintet across 15+ countries.

As an educator, his students dominate international competitions including ITA solo and ensemble championships, securing orchestral and academic positions worldwide. He founded the American Classic Trombone Quartet and served as International Trombone Association President (2008-2011), maintaining an active clinician role with S. E. Shires Instrument Company.
