Dirk Rischke is a Professor for Theoretical Physics at Goethe University Frankfurt since February 2001. He holds concurrent appointments as a Senior Fellow (since October 2008) and former Chairman (2009-2011) of the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS), and previously served as Chairman of the Department of Physics (2008-2010) at Goethe University. His academic career includes guest professorships at the University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei) and Central China Normal University (Wuhan) during 2008-2010, and research positions at Brookhaven National Laboratory (RIKEN-BNL Fellow, 1997-2000; Associate Scientist, 2000-2001).
