Derek Ball is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, affiliated with the Arché Philosophical Research Centre and the Global Research Centre for Diverse Intelligences. He contributes to the St Andrews SETI Post-Detection Hub and engages in interdisciplinary research.
