Deborah Hensler

The Judge John W. Ford Professor of Dispute Resolution at Stanford Law School, Deborah Hensler teaches complex litigation, arbitration law, and empirical research methods. Her scholarship on dispute resolution and mass claims has received international recognition.

Research focuses on the evolution of collective litigation globally, third-party litigation financing, and the transformation of dispute resolution systems. Directs the Stanford Globalization of Class Actions Exchange facilitating international collaborative research.

Honors include fellowship in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and honorary doctorates from European universities. Serves on advisory boards for civil justice institutes and law reform commissions worldwide.
