David W. Haddorff is an Associate Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, St. John's University. He holds a Ph.D. from Marquette University (1990), an M.A. from Wheaton College (1985), and a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado (1982).
His research focuses on theological ethics, particularly the work of Karl Barth, addressing contemporary issues such as globalization, social justice, and church-state relations. He is currently working on a book, Word and Risk: Christian Social Witness and Postmodernity, exploring Barthian ethics in postmodern contexts.
He has published the book Dependence and Freedom: The Moral Thought of Horace Bushnell (1994) and contributed an introductory essay to Karl Barth, Community, Church, and State: Three Essays (2004). His articles appear in journals like the Scottish Journal of Theology and Review of Social Economy.
