Matthew Lewis Sutton

Matthew Lewis Sutton is an Associate Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at St. John's University, where he has taught since 2008. He holds a Ph.D. in Catholic Systematic Theology from Marquette University (2007), an M.A. in Systematic Theology (2002), and a B.A. in Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (1999). His research focuses on integrating mystical theology with Catholic systematic theology, particularly exploring the works of Adrienne von Speyr and Hans Urs von Balthasar.
