David Sacks

David Sacks is Professor of Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology's Washington, DC campus. He developed the course 'The Climate Crisis: Clinical Psychology's Response' and teaches Psychodynamic Intervention, History and Systems of Psychology, and Intermediate Practicum Seminar.

Research interests include clinical responses to climate change and psychodynamic therapeutic approaches. Currently maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland while teaching graduate-level clinical courses.

Upcoming presentation 'The Climate Mind: Psychology's Role in the Climate Crisis' scheduled for online delivery in February 2025. Licensed in DC and Maryland with extensive public sector experience including serving as chief psychologist and program manager for the DC Department of Behavioral Health's child and youth division (2006-2019).
