David Reid

David Reid is Sessional Trombone Faculty at Ambrose University with extensive performance experience spanning symphonic, jazz, and musical theatre genres. His 35-year career includes 18 seasons as Assistant Principal Trombonist with Calgary Philharmonic.

Pedagogical focus encompasses brass technique development, jazz improvisation, and orchestral repertoire. Performance credits include Olympic ceremonies soundtracks, Broadway productions, and collaborations with artists like Jann Arden.

Holds Master of Music from Indiana University and performance diplomas from Trinity College London. Active clinician for jazz workshops and founding member of Albertasaurus Tuba Quartet.
