Matthew Melore

Matthew Melore serves as Lecturer of Classical Trombone at Princeton University since 2021, maintaining an active performance career across orchestral, chamber, and Broadway contexts. His professional engagements include the Princeton Symphony, Radio City Music Hall Orchestra, and numerous Broadway productions.

His educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Music from Manhattan School of Music (studied with David Finlayson; attended Aspen Music Festival with Per Brevig)
• Master of Arts from The Royal Academy of Music in London (studied with Dudley Bright, Ian Bousfield, Mark Templeton, and Dennis Wick)

Melore specializes in versatile brass performance across multiple instruments including trombone (all registers), euphonium, and tuba. His artistic focus spans classical repertoire, contemporary chamber works, and Broadway pit orchestration, demonstrated through collaborations with ensembles like Guidonian Hand Trombone Quartet and Tilt Brass Ensemble.

His distinguished achievements include:

As an educator, Melore previously taught at Usdan Performing Arts Camp and Frank Sinatra High School.
