David Hundt is an Associate Professor of International Relations at Deakin University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences, where he also serves as Director of the Masters of International Relations program. His research focuses on Australia's economic and security relations with South Korea, Korean immigration to Australia, and comparative responses to China's rise in the Indo-Pacific region.
Dr. Hundt teaches courses in International Relations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including AIR350 (Australia and the Indo-Pacific) and AIR747 (Contemporary International Politics). His research employs comparative political economy frameworks to analyze foreign policy decisions and regional security dynamics.
