Baogang He is Deakin Distinguished Professor of International Relations, Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, and expert in Chinese politics, deliberative democracy, and Asian regionalism. His research examines democratic innovations, China's global influence, and Australia-China relations.
Publications include analyses of lottery democracy, China's power projection, and hybrid governance models. Awarded the Alfred Deakin Professorship (2016) and national fellowships at Stanford and Hoover Institution.
