David Boelter is a Professor of Art with a focus on multi-media sculpture and ceramics. He holds a B.A. from Buena Vista University and an M.A. and M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including prominent solo and group exhibitions, public commissions, and awards.
Boelter teaches courses such as Art Survey, Sculpture, Ceramics Throwing, and Art History, reflecting his expertise in both studio practice and art education. He has served as a public art consultant and guest lecturer at multiple institutions.
His awards include the International Sculpture Center Award (2000), HCAF National Biennial 3D Exhibition First Place (2007), and the New Century Faculty Development Award (2012). Boelter has juried over twenty art exhibitions, most recently at Iowa State University's Art Inspired Exhibition.
