Darren Trautman serves as Program Director and Instructor for the Interior Architecture & Design program at Mercyhurst University, leveraging nearly 20 years of professional interior design experience spanning residential and light commercial projects. He concurrently holds a full-time position as Project Planner (Interior Designer) at Erie Insurance's Workplace Services in Erie, PA, integrating real-world industry practice into his academic role.

His professional expertise centers on Interior Design with specialized focus in Residential Design, Commercial Design, Project Management, Design Marketing, and Procurement. This practical background directly informs his studio-based teaching methodology, emphasizing hands-on project execution from concept development through final implementation.

Prior to his current dual roles, Mr. Trautman contributed as Educator & Mentor within the Hajoca Management Development Program, demonstrating consistent commitment to professional knowledge transfer across academic and industry settings.
