Daniel Guzzo

Daniel Guzzo is a Researcher at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), working within the Design for Sustainability research group. His work focuses on circular economy transitions, system dynamics, and the prevention of rebound effects in sustainable systems.

His research expertise lies in understanding how sustainability interventions can unintentionally lead to rebound effects—where efficiency gains result in increased consumption. He employs system dynamics modeling and causal loop diagrams to investigate these phenomena, particularly in product-service systems. His work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to responsible consumption and climate action.
