Dana Demchuk

Dana Demchuk is a Lecturer at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), where she has been affiliated since 2015. She previously served as Assistant Director for EMS from 2021 to 2023. Her academic background includes a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts (with an emphasis on language and literature) from California State University, Sacramento, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French from UC Davis.

Her research and teaching focus on language acquisition, multilingual education, and writing instruction. She has co-authored Venturing Out, a textbook published in 2018. Dana is fluent in Ukrainian, French, and Polish, and her professional experience includes roles in the California Department of Corrections and holding a California Notary Public license.

Outside academia, she enjoys skiing, reading, and family trips to the California Gold Coast.
