Wendy R. Terry

Wendy R. Terry is a Senior Continuing Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of California, Davis, with additional roles in Human Rights education. She has contributed to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of religious traditions, linguistic frameworks, and somatic practices.

Her research explores the History of Christianity, focusing on Mysticism and Religion and Language dynamics, including somatic expressions like fasting. Her publications, such as the 2017 Companion to Marguerite Porete and the 2011 linguistic analysis of The Mirror of Simple Souls, reflect her expertise in medieval Christian texts through interdisciplinary lenses.
