Joyce LaOrden is an Instructor III in the Department of Language & Literature at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), part of the College of Arts & Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Modern Languages (DML) from Middlebury College, an MA from California State University, Sacramento, and a BA from Cleveland State University. Her research focuses on language acquisition methodologies and cultural studies of Spain and Latin America, including work with Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) to promote best practices in language education research.
