Dana Baker is an Assistant Professor of Education at the Peter Sammartino School of Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her research focuses on neurodiversity, inclusive education, and supporting learners with disabilities, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Education: BA in Education from Calvin University, MS in Special Education from Bank Street Graduate School of Education, and EdD in Educational Psychology from Johns Hopkins University.
Her scholarly work explores redefining educational frameworks to embrace neurodiversity, challenges traditional pathology-based approaches, and evaluates the social validity of reading interventions. Recent publications highlight the potential of Montessori methods and universal school design for equitable learning environments.
