Dan Joseph

Dr. Dan Joseph is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Coppin State University's College of Arts & Sciences and Education. With over three decades of service since 1986, he specializes in special education and teacher training for children with disabilities.

• Doctorate from The Ohio State University (1984)
• Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin (1978)
• Bachelor’s degree with teacher certification from Bridgewater State College (1976)

His research focuses on inclusive education frameworks, disability support systems, and teacher certification programs. Dr. Joseph has directed federal grant initiatives for teacher training and coordinated off-campus educational programs for regional school districts.

He currently coordinates Graduate Studies and Special Education at Coppin State, while developing nationally recognized teacher certification programs in special education.

Dr. Joseph's career spans roles as instructor, grant principal investigator, and program developer, with expertise in both undergraduate and graduate special education pedagogy.
