Dallas Armstrong, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in both the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as the medical director of the Rett Syndrome and Related Disorders clinic, which holds the International Rett Syndrome Foundation Center of Excellence designation since 2021. Additionally, she represents UT Southwestern on the pediatric epilepsy surgery work group of the Pediatric Epilepsy Research Consortium (PERC). Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in epilepsy, she joined UT Southwestern’s faculty in 2019.
Dr. Armstrong earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Her training includes a pediatrics residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a child neurology residency at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health, and advanced fellowships in epilepsy (University of Pennsylvania Health System and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia), surgical epilepsy, and Rett syndrome (under Dr. Eric Marsh at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia).
Her research interests focus on epilepsy, pediatric neurology, and neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Rett Syndrome and epilepsy surgery. She is an active member of the American Epilepsy Society and has authored numerous publications in her field.
