MICHELLE CHRISTIE, M.D., is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as Director of Neurophysiology at Scottish Rite for Children, her primary clinical practice location. Her clinical expertise includes neurology with special qualifications in child neurology and clinical neurophysiology.
Dr. Christie earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she also completed residencies in general pediatrics and pediatric neurology. She further specialized through a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology. Her research focuses on genetic neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP), holoprosencephaly (HPE), and Charcot-Marie-Tooth syndrome. She joined UT Southwestern’s faculty in 2019.
