Colleen Cook

Colleen Cook is a Full Professor in the School of Information Studies at McGill University and Trenholme Dean of Libraries Emerita. She holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University and has extensive experience in library leadership, including roles as Dean at Texas A&M and McGill. Her research focuses on library assessment, service quality evaluation, and trends in research libraries. She has authored over 100 publications and holds an Scopus h-Index of 24.

Research Interests: Cook’s work centers on program evaluation and service quality metrics. She pioneered the LibQUAL+ framework, now used globally to assess library services. Her contributions include redefining library assessment methodologies and advocating for infrastructure projects like McGill’s Fiat Lux building and robotic storage facilities.
