Dr. Cle Cousins is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP), joining in 2018. She teaches broadcast journalism and mass communication courses and serves on the Faculty Senate's Student Affairs & Campus Life committee. Previously, she taught at Bladen Community College and as an adjunct at Methodist University. Her 20+ year journalism career included roles as assistant news director and education reporter at WCTI (ABC affiliate in New Bern), and reporting for stations in Greenville, Raleigh, Tampa, Orlando, and newspapers like The Item and The Daily Reflector. She has received numerous awards for reporting and was part of a team honored with the Edward R. Murrow Award for Hurricane Floyd coverage.
