Laura Eis

Laura Eis is a Lecturer in Violin within the Department of Performing Arts at Methodist University, affiliated with the College of Arts, Humanities & Sciences. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Fayetteville State University and Pitt Community College.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Music Education from Susquehanna University (2001)
• Master of Music (M.M.) in Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from East Carolina University (2008)
• Certificate of Advanced Performance Studies in Viola from East Carolina University (2009)

Professional Roles and Affiliations: Ms. Eis serves as concertmaster of the Pitt Community College Orchestra and is a member of the Fayetteville Symphony and Wilson Symphony. She has been assistant director for the North Carolina Suzuki Institute since 2007 and is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Additionally, she maintains a private violin and viola studio in Greenville, NC, and holds leadership roles as treasurer for the North Carolina and Eastern North Carolina Suzuki Associations.
