Cindy D. Stowe

Cindy D. Stowe, Pharm.D., B.S., is a Professor and Dean at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy. Her professional roles include leadership in academic pharmacy, clinical practice at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (1995–2013), and extensive contributions to pharmacy education research. She holds advanced training including a Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Research Fellowship (University of Tennessee, 1993–1995) and residencies in pediatric and general clinical pharmacy (University of Kentucky, 1992–1993).

Her research focuses on improving pharmacy education through formative assessment, competency-based models, and understanding pharmacokinetics in pediatric populations. Notable contributions include defining competency frameworks for pharmacy education, evaluating assessment tools, and advancing interdisciplinary training methods. She has served on key committees such as the Deans’ Council Task Force on Post Graduate Pharmacy Education and the Academic Affairs Standing Committee.
