Christopher Lane

Christopher Lane is an Academic Professor of Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), serving since 2023. Previously, he was a Professor of Digital Communication at SCAD (2021–2023) and a Teaching Assistant at the School of Visual Arts, New York (2017–2019). He holds an M.F.A. and B.F.A. in photography and historic preservation/painting from SCAD.

His research interests focus on photography, digital communication, and commercial/editorial visual arts. Notable exhibitions include 'Selected Works' at Mana Contemporary (2020), SCAD's Interior Design Faculty showcase (2020), and the AIAP Show (2019). His work has been featured in prestigious venues like the National Portrait Gallery (London), the London Observer, and the New York Times Magazine.

Awardees include the ESKFF Residency (2019), Young Guns Winner (2014), and National Portrait Winner (2012). He is a board member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and Working not Working (WNW), and a member of the Art Directors Club (ADC).
