Christopher Harris

Christopher Harris is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Kutztown University, where he teaches in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. He previously taught both online and in-person courses at Temple University.

• Education: Ph.D. and Master’s in Social Work from Widener University; BS in Political Science from St. Vincent College.

Research and Professional Focus: Dr. Harris specializes in addressing complex societal challenges, including substance abuse, homelessness, and prison re-entry. His work also explores childhood obesity, community engagement, and innovative interventions using performance art. He integrates these themes into his teaching, focusing on clinical practice, research methods, and human behavior.
