Sandra Villanueva

Sandra Villanueva, Ph.D., is an Associate Director at the Psychology Applied Research Center within the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts at Loyola Marymount University. She is a Community-Clinical Psychologist with over two decades of experience in program evaluation and community-based participatory action research, focusing on social justice, systems change, and policy reform.

• Expertise in designing logic models, theories of change, and mixed methods research
• Specializes in underserved communities of color, health/mental health disparities, and evaluation technical assistance

Her work spans diverse domains such as substance abuse prevention, childhood obesity, community organizing, education reform, juvenile justice, and re-entry services. Dr. Villanueva has co-led over 30 program evaluations at local, state, and national levels in collaboration with foundations, governments, and community organizations.
