Christopher Greenough is a Professor of Social Sciences at Edge Hill University, specializing in intersections of gender, sexuality, and religion. He co-directs The Shiloh Project, focusing on religion and gender-based violence, and co-leads the international Bible and Violence Project. His research spans queer theology, biblical interpretation, and LGBTQ+ religious experiences. He has authored monographs including Queer Theologies: The Basics (2019) and The Bible and Sexual Violence Against Men (2020).
Education: PhD in Theology & Religion from the University of Birmingham (2016), Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (Edge Hill University, 2019). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and external member of the Sheffield Centre for Interdisciplinary Biblical Studies.
