Christine Olsen

Christine Olsen serves as Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor of Business at the School of Business, University of Northwestern – St. Paul. She brings over eleven years of professional experience from CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) in Minneapolis, where she specialized in public sector accounting for nonprofit and religious organizations.

Her academic credentials include:

• Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from Bethel University
• MBA from Anderson University, Indiana
• Certified Public Accountant (Minnesota)

Christine's expertise spans Accounting, Finance, and Auditing with deep specialization in Nonprofit Management and Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting. Her professional background with social service organizations informs her focus on organizational ethics, accountability, and financial management in mission-driven sectors. She integrates practical nonprofit sector experience into her teaching of International Business and advanced accounting disciplines.

As a former CLA Director, she coordinated onboarding for over 30 new hires and developed internal training programs on risk assessment and moral courage. Her service extends to board positions with ImpactLives (as former treasurer) and Children’s Shelter of Cebu, alongside long-term volunteer work with Junior Achievement and Sunday School ministry.
