Melissa Jean

Melissa Jean is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management & Organizational Studies at Western University. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in accounting, financial management, and strategic management. She holds an HBA, MBA, and professional certifications as CPA and CMA.

Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Introduction to Financial Accounting, Strategic Management, and Nonprofit Financial Management. She has also taught at Ivey Business School and Brescia University College.

Melissa’s research and teaching focus on financial analysis, business strategy, and nonprofit sector management. She actively contributes to professional communities, serving as Executive Director of Finance at Brescia University College and Treasurer at Daya Counselling Centre.

She has been recognized with the Tate Award Finalist (2020), ASAC Honourable Mention (2017), and Brescia’s Excellence in Teaching Award (2015).
