Dr. Chris Wedding is a Professor at the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School, an Associate Professor at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment, and a Gosnell Visiting Professor in Duke's Department of Economics. He also serves as Executive in Residence at Duke's Fuqua School of Business.
Education:
- BS summa cum laude in Environmental Science from Western Kentucky University (Goldwater Scholar)
- MS and PhD in Business and Strategy in Real Estate and Energy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
His research focuses on climate technology, renewable energy infrastructure, impact/ESG investing, corporate sustainability strategy, and green real estate, with additional exploration of conscious leadership and social justice through publications and media.

He founded Entrepreneurs for Impact, creating peer groups for climate-focused business leaders, and leads IronOak Energy Capital in climate tech investment banking, leveraging $1 billion+ investment experience across 20+ countries.
