Charlotte Triebus is a performance artist, choreographer, and academic lecturer active at multiple institutions. She holds an artist-in-residence position at Mirevi Lab (Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences) and is an associate member of international research teams focusing on contemporary dance and technology. Since 2015, she has been a regular guest lecturer at the Cologne International School of Design's Department of Design Theory and Research, as well as teaching at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and Cologne University of Music and Dance.
Her artistic practice combines theoretical research with performance, interrogating agency, queer identity relationships, and the body's role in interdisciplinary contexts. Her work explores intersections of dance, technology, and ethics, including collaborations with developers and experimental setups involving motion capture and AI.
Education highlights: MFA (Diploma 2) in Performance from the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (with distinction), MA in Dance Studies from HfMT Cologne, and BA in Integrated Design from Cologne International School of Design. She also studied at IDEO and spent time in Sweden during her academic career.
Key projects include founding the New Human Body Society (2018) and receiving OpenAI's European artist support since 2022. Her work has been exhibited internationally in museums and festivals, with publications and performances addressing representation, identity, and data through bodily expression.
