Charles Dannis

Charles Dannis is an Adjunct Professor in the Real Estate department at the Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University, where he has taught Real Estate Markets and Valuation (RE 4382) since 1988 as part-time faculty.

His educational background includes a BBA in Management from Southern Methodist University.

Specializing in Real Estate Appraisal and Valuation for over 50 years, Mr. Dannis co-founded Crosson Dannis, Inc. in 1977 and later joined National Valuation Consultants, Inc. in 2015. His expertise spans real estate markets, business law, and institutional investment, with significant contributions to NCREIF's Valuation Committee and Board leadership (1997-2001, 2015-2023), including Chairman of the Board (2020-2022).

His distinguished recognition includes:

Mr. Dannis served as Chairman of TIER REIT's Board (2013-2015), Dallas Real Estate Task Force member (2003-2006), and Economic Review Panel Chairman for Dallas' Historic Landmark Commission (2002, 2008). He hosted KRLD's 'The Real Estate Hour' radio show (1992-2008, 2020-2022), instructed NCREIF's 'Nuts and Bolts of Institutional Real Estate Academy' since 2002, and held board positions with The Dallas Marathon (Chairman Emeritus), The Friends of The Katy Trail, The Shelton School, and The Folsom Institute for Real Estate.
