Eric Sussman

Eric Sussman is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Real Estate at the Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). With a career spanning over two decades, he teaches courses in cost/managerial accounting, financial accounting, corporate financial reporting, and real estate investment and finance to undergraduate, graduate, and Executive Education students. His pedagogical approach integrates real-world experience from his active involvement in the real estate industry.

• Education: MBA (1993, Stanford University, Arjay Miller Scholar), B.A. in Business and Economics (Summa Cum Laude, 1987, UCLA).

Sussman specializes in asset valuation, financial statement analysis, fraud detection, and shareholder litigation, while maintaining expertise in personal finance and real estate. His teaching emphasizes practical applications, informed by his leadership roles in real estate firms and financial consulting.

He has received numerous teaching accolades, including the UCLA Distinguished Teaching Award (2015), the Neidorf 'Decade' Award (2008), and multiple MBA/FEMBA Teaching Excellence Awards. His industry contributions include founding Insight FSA™, a financial risk analysis software tool.
