Cecilia Rizcallah

Cecilia Rizcallah is Professor of European Law and Human Rights at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Brussels, and holds visiting professor positions at the Université libre de Bruxelles and the College of Europe (Bruges Campus). She serves as co-president of the Belgian Association of EU Law (BEDER) and is a member of the Collegium of the Belgian Royal Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts.

Her research focuses extensively on the protection of liberal democracy, the rule of law, and fundamental rights within the European Union context. She has published two major monographs exploring these themes in depth.

Rizcallah has received multiple distinguished awards for her scholarly contributions:
