Dr. Catherine Roche-Wallace serves as Professor of Horn and Theory and Graduate Coordinator in the School of Music and Performing Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She performs as second horn in the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and with the Louisiana Brass Quintet.
Her education includes a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Memphis, and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music from Youngstown State University. Dr. Roche-Wallace actively commissions and premieres contemporary works, including Yehudi Wyner's HORNTRIO and G. Bradley Bodine's Rhapsody for Horn and Percussion, funded by the International Horn Society's Meir Rimon Commission Fund.
She maintains an international performance career spanning eight U.S. states, Canada, and Finland, and serves as Artist Faculty at Blue Lake Summer Music Camp. As a clinician for Conn/Selmer Musical Instruments, she presents at regional and international horn symposia.
Dr. Roche-Wallace oversees graduate studies in the School of Music and has secured external funding for artistic commissions. Her professional activities integrate performance, pedagogy, and commissioning of new horn repertoire.
