Carol Rivas is a Professor of Health and Social Care at UCL's IOE Social Research Institute since 2017. She specializes in intersectional approaches to marginalized groups' health and social care needs, with a focus on culturally tailored interventions. Her work integrates qualitative methods, AI, and participatory research. She co-leads the CICADA study examining pandemic experiences of minoritised communities and developed the nationally awarded HEAL-D diabetes program for African/Caribbean populations.
