Callum Tierney is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice at the University of Sunderland's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He completed his MPharm at Strathclyde University (2004) and MSc in Clinical Pharmacy (2019). With 11 years of community pharmacy management experience, he transitioned to academia in 2016 and currently leads the first-year module 'PHA113: An Introduction to the Professional Practice of Pharmacy.'
Research Focus:
- Transgender patient experiences in community pharmacies (part-time PhD since 2021)
- Role of pharmacists in bariatric patient nutritional support
- Professional identity development in pharmacy education
