Brenda Dyer

Brenda Dyer is Teaching Professor of French and Director of Modern Languages at Drexel University's Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages. She holds an MA in French Literature from University of Pennsylvania (2001) and is certified in Teaching Business Language from Wharton School.

Her teaching emphasizes communicative competence, cross-cultural studies, and global citizenship, with research interests spanning 17th-18th century French literature, inclusive pedagogy for diverse learners, and translation studies. Dyer actively develops business-language curricula and coordinates Arabic, French, and Italian study abroad programs.
