Daniela Viale is a Lecturer in Italian & French at Muhlenberg College's Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from Università di Torino, Italy, and an M.L.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, she taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and Wesleyan University.
Research Interests: Viale focuses on innovative language pedagogy, Italian culinary culture, and WWII historical memory. She pioneers Open Educational Resources (OER), having co-created the freely accessible Spunti textbook series for Italian learners, now adopted by multiple institutions.
