Bogdan Murgescu

Bogdan Murgescu is a Professor at the Faculty of History, University of Bucharest, and Vice-Rector for Budget and Human Resources since 2019. He is an expert in economic and social history, with a focus on long-term development, historiography, and higher education policy. His academic leadership includes roles as President of the National Council for Higher Education Statistics and Forecast (CNSPIS) and Director of the Council for Doctoral Studies at the University of Bucharest (2013–2020), where he oversaw 22 doctoral schools, 460 supervisors, and 2,000 students.
